Page 10 The Star June 2, 2014 Remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice Rolla's Memorial Day serv- ices were held under a clear blue sky Monday morning. The day started early for members of the Fred C. Wag- ner American Legion Post No. 235 and its auxiliary. The men and women visited several cemeteries in the area to per- form services. Around 10:30 a.m., the parade went down Main Avenue and ended at the school, where a program was held. Terry Gable, at right, was the keynote speaker. The cere- mony also included several new twists. Rolla students per- formed songs and an instru- mental solo. In addition, veterans placed wreaths on the stage commemorating every branch of the military. Area students named to NDSU Dean's List Area North Dakota students were among the 3,104 North Dakota State University (NDSU) students to be placed on the spring 2014 dean's list. A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qual- ify. NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commis- sion on Higher Education. Local students who made NDSU's dean's list are as follows from.
