Peggy Schell
Jodi Anfinson, of Minot, came to
the home of her parents, Curt and
Joan Anfinson, Thursday evening to
spend the holiday weekend. She re-
turned to Minot Sunday evening.
Ron Anfinson, of rural Cando,
Randy Anfinson, of Devils Lake, and
their brother, Curt Anfinson, left the
morning of the 4th of July on a mo-
torcycle trip. They rode to the Boy
Scout Wilderness Camp in Min-
nesota where Randy's son, Matthew
Anfinson, is the rock climbing tower
instructor. The trio retumed to their
respective homes Sunday evening.
Randy and Jeannie Schell,
Kaylee, and Kyle were supper guests
of Jeannie's father, Harold, and
Jackie Blessum, of St. John, on
Wednesday, July 2nd.
Randy Schell and Kyle were in the
parade at Rugby on July 4th. Later
the3 drove to Harvey where they vis-
ited Bob and Edie Schell, Dylan, and
Allie before returning home.
Randy and Kathy Benson, and
their children, Jarrin Benson and
Sara McClammer, both of Indi-
anapolis, Indiana, and Isabella Essen,
spent the week at the cabin at Lake
Upsilon. Guests on the 4th of July at
the cabin to help Kathy with an early
celebration of her July 17th birthday
were Jay Essen, of Devils Lake; John
and Judy Bulie and Jim Bulie, of
Cando; Tami and Ross Bentley and
Autumn, of Moorhead, Minnesota;
Rick Benson, of Jamestown; Dick
and Babe Benson, of rural Wolford;
and Don and Carla Lee, of Minot.
Saturday visitors of Randy and
Kathy Benson and their houseguests
at Lake Upsilon were Dean and
Klang Benson, of rural Wolford, and
Lance Teubner, of Fargo.
Jarrin Benson and Sara McClam-
mer left on Sunday from Grand
Forks to return to Indianapolis after
spending a week visiting their par-
ents, Randy and Kathy Benson, and
other relatives and friends. Billi
(Gefroh) Olson visited Sara one day
while they were at the lake.
Tyler Zappone, of Minot, came to
the home of his parents, Darryl and
Renae Zappone, Thursday evening.
Maria Houle, of Grand Forks, and
Tyler went to Lake Metigoshe later
to watch the fireworks display.
Darryl and Renae Zappone and
Tyler went to Rugby on the 4th of
July and watched the parade. Darryl
and Renae's grandson, Brandon Zap-
pone, of Rugby, and Renae's uncle,
David Lynnes, of Bottineau, were
both participants in the parade. Matt
Zappone and Brittany Eubank, of
Lansford, also attended the parade,
and then Darryl, Renae, Matt, Bran-
don, Brittany, and Tyler enjoyed the
Pierce County Fair.
Friday evening Darryl and Renae
Zappone and Tyler went and watched
the fireworks at the Sky Dancer
Casino.
Matt Zappone and Brandon and
Brittany Eubank came to the home of
Matt's parents, Darryl and Renae
Zappone, Saturday afternoon. Mafia
Houle also came and the group en-
joyed a cookout and fireworks that
evening at the Zappone home. Mafia
went to the home of her parents at
Belcourt overnight. Sunday Mafia re-
turned and they had another cookout
for lunch and then enjoyed some
games of croquet before everyone,
except Brandon, returned to their re-
spective homes. Later Darryl and
Renae met Brandon's other grandfa-
ther, Blaine Pfeifer, at Wolford, and
Brandon returned to his Rugby home.
Ervin and RuthAnn Helmuth
went to the home of their daughter,
Ronda, and Corwin Kohler and
Carsen, of Benedict, on Wednesday,
June 25th. They stayed overnight and
returned home Thursday afternoon.
Paul and Bertha Yoder, of Cam-
bridge, Minnesota, visited Ervin and
RuthAnn Helmuth Saturday evening.
Tuesday, July 1st, and again on
July 8th, Ervin and RuthAnn Hel-
muth attended the Graber and
Friends breakfast at a Rugby restau-
rant.
Virgil Helmuth, of rural Wolford,
visited his brother, Ervin, and
RuthAnn Helmuth Wednesday, July
2nd.
Thursday, July 3rd, RuthAnn Hel-
muth attended the women's sewing
at Lakeview Mennonite Church. The
ladies each brought a sack lunch, and
numbered them. They then drew
numbers for which sack lunch they
would have.
Ervin and RuthAnn Helmuth at-
tended the July 4th rodeo at Towner.
Later they went to Benedict to the
home of Ronda and Corwin Kohler
and Carsen. They all watched the
fireworks at Fort Stevenson. Ervin
and RuthAnn stayed overnight and
returned home Saturday afternoon.
RuthAnn Helmuth joined Maria
Nelsen, of rural Egeland, Joan An-
finson and Jodi, and Peggy Schell
and Kyle Schell for breakfast at the
Chocolate Shop Sunday morning
after they had attended Mass at Holy
Rosary Catholic Church in Bisbee,
Josh and Hannah (Harlow) Wa-
gler, of Hartville, Ohio and Sterling
Beachy were Monday supper guests
of Dwight and Verna Beachy. Josh
and Hannah are spending a week vis-
iting here. Hannah is Dwight and
Sterling's niece, the daughter of the
late Colleen (Beachy) Harlow. Josh
and Hannah are staying with Jamie
and Julie Beachy and family while in
the area.
Dwight and Verna Beachy were
among those at the Salem Mennon-
ite Church picnic at the home of Mil-
ford and Joyce Yoder and family, of
rural Wolford, on the 4th of July.
Carol Beachy met Josh and Han-
nah Wagler at the Rugby train station
Thursday morning, and they were
breakfast guests of Ward and Carol,
Nell, and Evan.
Milford and Joyce Yoder and fam-
ily, Joyce's mother, Arlene Brenne-
man, of South Carolina, Dwight and
Verna Beachy, and Sterling Beachy
were Sunday dinner guests of Ward
and Carol Beachy, Nell, and Evan.
David and Tabitha Solberg, of
Kaiser, Oregon, arrived at the home
of David's parents, Dave and Betty
Solberg, and Karl on Wednesday for
a visit.
Sunday afternoon visitors of
Glenn and Mavis Overby were Beau
and Andrea Medlang, Bradley,
Danika, and Easton, of rural Bot-
tineau. Andrea is Glenn and Mavis'
granddaughter.
Trudy Eide, of Fargo, arrived at
the home of her parents, Glenn and
Mavis Overby, on Monday.
Tom Peterson went to Minot on
July 4th to the home of his son, May-
nard, and Diane Peterson, Ryan, and
Karl.
Lloyd and Sharon Hovland joined
Brent and Lori Kurtti, Owen, Evan,
and Brian at a neighborhood supper
gathering at Bisbee Dam on the 4th
of July. Lloyd and Sharon then went
to Killarney, Manitoba, and enjoyed
the fireworks display.

among those at a Rolla restaurant
Tuesday morning for the "Perth
Breakfast".

Jennifer Fredrickson and Halle, of
Grand Forks visited Jennifer's grand-
mother, Carol Knudson, on the 4th of
July. Carol enjoyed supper at Bisbee
Dam at the camper of her grandson,
Terrill, and Sam Knudson and family,
along with other family members.

visited her grandmother, Carol
Knudson, and Carol's visitor, Jen-

Carol Knudson attended the
men's softball game in Bisbee Tues-
day evening. Her grandson, Terrill
Knudson, plays on the Bisbee team.
On the 4th of July Lee and Judy
Lewis were afternoon and supper
guests of their daughter, Shari, and
Sean Jerde, Ashleigh, and Chanda Jo
at their home in Bottineau. They also
enjoyed visiting with Brittany Rose,
Colton, and Myah, of Grand Forks,
who were weekend guests at the
Jerde home.
Kathleen Erickson Miller, of
Adrian, was a Saturday visitor and
luncheon guest of Judy and Lee
Lewis. Kathleen is a guest of her
brother, Newt, and Angle Erickson,
of rural Wolford, while visiting
friends and relatives in the area.
Sunday afternoon Judy attended
the funeral service at Wolford
Lutheran Church for Esther Thomp-
son.
Nettle Jane Evans, of Rugby, vis-
ited her niece, Judy, and Lee Lewis
later on Sunday and had supper with
them.
Word was received of the death of
Marilyn (Graber) Fletschock, of
Cooperstown. Marilyn was the
daughter of Emery and Della Graber,
of Rolette. Marilyn married Gil
Fletschock, of rural Wolford, who
survives with their three children and
families. Gil and Marilyn were Mylo
residents when Gil was an employee
at the John Deere dealership in Mylo.
Carol Halone and Christi Johnson,
of Fargo, and Christi's mother, Sheila
Schmidt, spent the holiday weekend
at the Schmidt cabin at Rock Lake,
Canada. Carol and Christie left Mon-
day to return to Fargo.

Leer and family, of rural Wolford.

Terry Johnson. They went to Devils
Lake and visited Mary's daughter,
Kathy Johnson.

Steve and Lynnette Berg spent the
holiday weekend at Lake Ashtabula.
Their children, Loree Berg and Zoey,
of Fargo, Ross and Caron Berg, Rea-
gan, Camryn, and Lincoln, and
Logan Berg, all of Valley City, were
also at the lake for the weekend.
