She cheered on the efforts the band, Flashback, during the Rolla Chamber of Commerce’s final downtown party of the season. The Star Wednesday, July 21st, Dalen and Merletta Grove, Kierra, Braeden, Kennedi, and Declan, of Pennsylva— nia, came to the home of Merletta’s parents, Merle and Doreen Beachy. The Grove Family had been staying with Mcrletta’s brother, Leon, and Jeanna Beachy, Tyrese, and Alexis, for a couple weeks while visiting in the area. Tuesday evening John and Judy Bulie, of Cando, and their house— guests, their daughter, Tami Bentley, and Autum, of Moorhead, Minnesota, and John’s sister, Kathy Benson, went to Calio for a chicken supper. An impromptu birthday party sprang up on Friday at the home of Pete Solberg and Joey Wulkowicz. Two of their houseguests, Pete’s son, John Solberg, and John’s friend, Michael Brassem, of Denver, Col- orado, were having birthdays. John’s birthday was Friday and Michaels was the following Monday. The other guests, Pete’s daughter, Lisa Solberg, and her husband, Phred Miller, of Seattle, Washington, and Kenny Spaeth and his daughter, Sonia Spaeth, of Grand Forks, joined in the celebration. Saturday morning all of the guests left to return to their re- specting homes. I Kristin Solberg left Monday to re- turn to her Annapolis, Maryland, home. Kristin spent over two weeks at the home of her parents, Dave and Betty Solberg, visiting relatives and friends. Darryl and Renae Zappone went to the State Fair at- Minot on Satur- day. Tyler and Maria Zappone, Matt Zappone and Brandon, and Christina Butterworth, Rhiett, and Jackson, all of Minot, were also at the fair that day. Darryl and Renae stayed overnight with her aunt, Roxanne Mott,-and returned home on Sunday. Doug Lemieux was a Sunday evening visitor of his cousin, Daniel, and Darla Armstrong. All are of rural Rolette. Daniel and Darla Armstrong vis- ited Glenn and Cathy Armstrong Monday afternoon. Wednesday Daniel and Darla Armstrong went to Minot to the State Fair. Their granddaughter, Cora Buchweitz, of rural Munich, showed her dairy goats and beef 4-H animals. She had the Reserve Champion beef heifer and all of her dairy goats were Grand Champions. Ward and Carol Beachy hosted an outdoor breakfast Wednesday mom- ing. Their guests were Ward’s brother, Sterling Beachy, and Ward’s niece, Merletta, and Dalen Grove and three of their four children.
